Note I know you are probably saying to yourself that there should be a section titled Slide Libraries. At the very least, you might have expected to find the slide library under the picture libraries, which it closely resembles. For that reason, take special note that slide libraries fall into the Document Libraries grouping when viewing All Site Content.

Finally, you can choose to track versions of images added to this library. Unlike picture libraries, which often do not need versions, many people find tracking versions of slides important. If you need to track slide versions, select Yes under the Slide Version History section. Figure 12-57 shows a library created to store slides from a recent SQL Saturday presentation. This library does not appear in the Quick Launch menu and does not track versions of the slides.

In this section, I will demonstrate writing a custom WCF service, deploying it in SharePoint as a solution and then using it in Silverlight and JavaScript front ends. To avoid duplicated work, we ll use the parent mechanism and three different plane objects. obj_plane_parent will contain all the behavior common to both planes, obj_plane1 will be player one s plane, and obj_plane2 will be player two s plane. Both of these last two objects will have obj_plane_parent as their parent so that they can inherit its behavior. Let s create the basic structure for these objects.

Before you start uploading slides into your library, you might want to think about the structure you want to create for your slides. Do you really want to store all your slides under a single folder or list Would it make more sense to group some slides together, separating them from other slides Of course, you could create separate slide libraries to store slides for different purposes. However, you can achieve the same results while making it easier to transfer slides between areas by using a folder structure for your slides, much like you create a folder structure to store files on your hard drive. When you click the New option in the library menu bar, as shown in Figure 12-58, the only option that you will see, New Folder, allows you to create a new folder from your current location in the library. Starting from the library root, you can create a set of folders for different types of slides.
